Everytime I go to make a casserole or other baked dish, I'm reminded once again why they are great friends to someone with a crazy travel schedule. If I can freeze it and it tastes as good later, that baked dish is a bro for life.

Hello again. Hoping everyone had a most excellent long weekend, full of porch sitting and potent beverage-drinking. Now that we've made it back from the Texas shore -- and made it through the end of last week -- I figured I'd hit y'all back with the nibbles we served at last weekend's Sip & See.
We went for a casual Southern theme of finger foods (the best for eating whilst holding children) that were also kid-friendly. (So more hot-dog, less cucumber sandwich.) I've linked to recipes for everything, and I tried all of it because poison-testing. A++ would do again.

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, this week, I'm sharing my new favorite and super simple dip. QUESO FLAMEADO! We made it this weekend in honor of our #CincoDeMays blow-out, but I really think it's wonderful for any occasion. In fact, I may have an addiction. Like, seriously. I've bought my own cast iron pan just so I can make it again this weekend.
