A year or two ago, my friend Megan made me business cards. Well, not real business cards. Dating cards. They featured a goofy but cute picture, contact information, and most importantly, a list of my attributes. The funniest, yet most truthful? "SCARF ENTHUSIAST."
Welp, the cold weather is back, and so is my enthusiasm.
Check out the photos below to see some of my personal favorites and read on for some inspiration for this season (and the best sources for adding to your collection). Who knows, we just might be twins!

- The dark grey knit scarf features a copper thread running through it, which funks it up a bit. It was purchased from Francesca's a few years ago, but they are still carrying similar styles - such as the Lowry Loop Scarf.
- My purple paisley scarf (all-time favorite) can double as a small blanket on my travels. You can find similar pieces online by searching "Pashmina Paisley Scarf" -- both Etsy and Amazon have great options in a variety of colors.
- My cream and brown scarf is another welcome travel companion, as it goes with most any outfit. Anthropologie is carrying a similar one this season called the Golden Puffin Scarf.
- And for Christmas, I asked for a new plaid scarf! Santa got close to my inspiration with this Fair Isle Stripe Wrap!
